Why a size comparison photo helps a listing
Buyers scan for the size before anything else, and a plain number in the title answers the question slower than a picture does. Showing every size you offer at true scale, next to something everyone already knows the size of, lets a shopper place your art on their own wall in seconds instead of guessing from inches. It is the same idea as the Etsy listing photo checker’s advice to show scale, applied to the size-guide slide specifically.

Frequently asked questions
Is my image uploaded to a server?▾
No. The comparison image is drawn entirely in your browser using canvas, and the download happens on your device. Your art is never sent anywhere on this page.
Why is the furnished room there?▾
A size in inches means little on its own. The sofa and familiar furniture give buyers an instant sense of scale, the same way many Etsy size guide photos do.
What does 'cropped to fit' mean?▾
Sizes with the same proportions as your art show it uncropped. A size with different proportions (a square listing next to a 2:3 print, for example) still shows your art, but centered and cropped to fill that shape.
Why is the download exactly 2000×2000?▾
2000px is Etsy's own recommendation for listing photos, and square is the safest shape across Etsy's square, portrait, and landscape thumbnail crops. The download is also stepped down in JPEG quality automatically to stay under Etsy's 1 MB upload ceiling.
Can I use this for a print shop other than Etsy?▾
Yes. The image is a plain JPEG with no watermark or platform-specific markup, so it works anywhere you'd use a size guide graphic.
